spanish or indian coin?

Has anyone seen anything like this before. I was told it was found with several in nayarit. That the image on the coin is the king nayar from that area. I also was told it was located in a cave which is very dangerous because of gasses and traps.

It isn't a Spanish coin from the state of Nayarit though it may be a token from that area and the Indians in Mexico never minted coins--unless they were slaves of the Spanish miinting Spanish coins after about 1536.
The image on the left looks like a representation of a Mayan calendar.
