dang, beats me but that thing is amazing!

Outstanding find, congrats! :occasion14:

It appears to be half of a broken knife...JMHO!! Still, very nice piece! I would go back and look for the other half.:icon_thumright:

Three words, Whoa!

Looks from the photo like the base has been broken off. But it might be an agate basin.

Holy smokes ! That is a killer find...broken or not. You need to post this in the North American Indian Artifact section.

Thank you Jeff, will do now!

Now that's a beauty! Congrats

That is a very nice artifact.

Excellent chipping pattern!!! T.C. Nailed it!!! Broken knife. It’d be really cool if you could find the rest!!! Congrats!!!

Did the NA's in New Hampshire have wealth blades?? Just askin' for a friend...

That thing is almost nice enough to be an Eden. Dint think they are out that way though. Might post really good pics of both sides of the base? It is a very fine artifact.

Incredible knapping on that one. Master knapper. At over 5" I'm wondering what the raw material is. I know of no material in the NE that comes in large enough nodules to make a 5"+ points. Correct me if I'm wrong. If found in the Midwest, I'd say that is Dover flint from TN., which is a type of Ft. Payne. Gary

that's incredible. the person who made that really knew what they were doing

this one i found in N.Ma below NH in a farm field - its close to 5 ins and is broke - my guess it would have been double that intact
posted on indian artifact forum yrs ago but got no input - old friend found a spear point like it a town over ...complete with similar
knapping and material and he was told his was extremely rare
