We brought our property in 1972 with a small hill in front yard. In 2006 we decided to level it off. We found this about 12-18 inches down in dirt. I’ve never new what and how to have it checked. Can someone point me in the r direction?

Knowing what state it was found in would be a long ways for knowing the type. Both sides would be nice. How many inches long is it?
