Didn't so good today in spite of minus tide .lots of depositors just SITTING on the beach no one in the water... ran into Newbie-wan at the beach, That's him doing a little water hunting... finds were pitiful ,, I got a grand total of 74 cents In hours and a DG Charm thing I don't even know what it is , weather was great ,,, The sun pop out finally . Ralph and I had lunch ... That was the best thing that happen all day..,

The DG thing you picked up probably came off something by Dolce & Gabbana a womans fashion company. They make all kinds of bags and swimsuits, too bad you weren't around when it popped off

Bomber .......That's a commercial scoop Ralph is holding...the yellow thing is a noodle....a swimming pool float for kids to play with....water hunters use the noodle to put a little buoyancy in the handle...and helps visual as well...unlike some boards you don't have to worry about newbie questions here...the people on treasuerNet forum will do their best to help you......Rdi

Thanks for the info on the DG thing, Glenn ,,I had no clue what that was . I was little Po ed after leaving the beach today. It felt the beach had picked Clean there wasn't even bad targets to pull up ,,,It will be a while before I go out again,I have work all weekend looks monday NIGHT for the next hunt .. Guess I got to start night hunting ... Oh well I'll gettem next time dad gomet ,, Guzz1

The yellow looks like a "noodle" Many of us put noodles on our scoop handles because it causes it to stand up in the water when you let go. It will not float, but the handle will stand up which makes it easy to let go and then recover.

I found the non-color ones work best for me as they do not bleed on my shirt when I carry my scoop on my shoulder.

Any questions you may have, feel free to ask, somone will answer them. We were all new and starting at one time. I am still a "newbie" myself, only been doing this for 18 months, and completely addicted....

I could tell from your post you were PO'D, figured I'd try to cheer you up a little instead of giving you the old, "at least you were able to get out deal". My office really was flooded this morning though

Sorry to hear about the flood Glenn I hate when that happens,, Its always a Huge mess. Not to much damage I hope .. Anyway I'm pretty much cooled down now ,I just have to vent for a while then I'm good to few more rounds with the beach .. I'm so addicted to this hobby. That's correct after the foam was put on, Then he just zip tied it, it works well.. good luck with the water hunting ,, Guzz1

Bomber......Guzz1 is right, most people use zip ties ....but I believe Raph is using electrical tape.....I've been using electrical tape for years, works well....I don't use zip ties because after you cut the excess off it usually leaves a sharp tit which can scratch you or damage your wet suit...even if you sand it smooth you still have the bump to hang things on...

RdI is right Electrical tape would be the better option . I would use the electrical tape.

thanks guys,looking forward to water hunting,got my open water before winter hit,but i don't think i'll be doing to much in lake michigan till spring.they have the scuba show here next month so hopefully i'll pick up a wetsuit and i've got my eye on a tigershark
