If it works, use it. I was taught that we all have a guardian angel watching over us, that inner voice that guides us. I'm sure some people do not believe this, but whatever you call it, I think it is some link to the subconscious, the universal mind.

Anytime you are dealing with the subconscious, your mental programming filters out about 99% of what's coming at you. In other words, consciously or unconsciously you decide what you will accept. It's the unconscious filters that are hard to detect.

I know people who have used spiritual guides to help with their dowsing. I'm not talking about superstition. I'm talking about tuning into the vibes (resonance). A lot of the "tuning in" is simply a matter of awareness. Ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you. No doubt this is referring to dealing with the subconscious.

Thanks for the input.

I was brought up believing in the power of prayer.
And I've used it only to talk to God. I always assumed that the inner voice I hear during prayer is God speaking his wisdom to my heart.

I am aware of the ego, super ego and the id inner voices as well, and can easily differentiate between them.

I guess my question is: What area does communication with a spirit guide or guardian angel take place?

You know what..... I think I just answered my own question. I guess I just needed to think out loud. And since I can already tap into an area of my subconscious where I'm
comfortable, maybe I should just leave it at that.

Sincerely,
Buddy~

I'm just exploring ways that may help me to become a more proficient dowser. I know there is no substitute for practice but I'm always looking for an edge.
