Sportsman's button or something else?

I'm thinking sportsman but the shield is
througing me off. Usually the sportsman
buttons I find have animals on them and
nothing else.

It's just my opinion but it looks like a fashion button from the last half of the 20th century to me. I am having trouble pulling up the Waterbury button web site so I can't see if they have anything even close to it.

A wild turkey with a federal crest. An odd fact is that Ben Franklin suggested that the wild turkey should be our national bird. I could just imagine this on a military uniform.
