✅ SOLVED Spring, any ideas?

I feel like I've seen this type of spring used somewhere before. Found it with my Legend about 10 inches deep. Any thoughts?

It says solved but it looks like an old 1970's fire extinguisher handle safety wire or pin to me.

That would be one huge fire extinguisher! Judging by the quarter in the picture the thing is over a foot long!
