Hi all,

I have an interesting pair of spurs. They are clearly modeled off the US Model 1859 with the rooster neck, but with C and S on either side of the neck and three stars on each arm. This is not the Leech & Rigdon/Memphis Novelty works spur. The rowel is some sort of Mexican coin. Any ideas as to the origin of these?

Thanks,

Bob

the CS stands for Confederate States. I wouldn't have a clue though if they are a genuine civil war artifact or not

Looks like the CS and stars were added on after being made like soldered on it. If I had a guess to genuine, I'd say no.
