Squeezing Blood from Turnips

The tear out has been winding down for some time. Landscaping continues to go into place leaving exceedingly small areas of original dirt open for perusal. Some areas were left unlandscaped for who knows what...until tonight. Those little openings were where underground sprinkler systems had been used. And they were typically used in front of the nicer, old, historic houses. And the crews were spading these median strips to put the sprinklers back in place. Sooo...guess where we're hunting tonight?

Today's finds...



1905 Barber Dime.



Ornate spoon handle.



And the strangest piece of "live ammunition" I have ever seen. Looks like someone tried to reload an old rim fire with a...rock?

So one last time the tear out brings a smile to my face. OR...maybe I can squeeze...just...one...more...drop.
