the wife and I visited our two grandchildren who live outside of st Louis. we went to the transportation museum.

Jay's ol' gas turbine. What a beaut!!! For that fact they all are!!!

Can you imagine taking a 3 month trip from St Louis to San Francisco in a stage coach. I put together a Revell model of that turbine car. I was thinking back then the turbine engine was what would be in most cars of the future. I still can remember how bummed I got when Parnelli Jones during the 1967 Indy 500 was leading the pack in his turbine car almost the whole race, until the last 8 miles when it broke down and just coasted off the track.😔
