How do you guys stay focused on detecting while on Orient Bay beach? :)

You'd be surprised how a fat, bald guy with a metal detector is so appealing to topless French women. Right!

Guess what's left for Tenderfoot?

What did that bill ring in at ?
At one beach - waded out to bout waist deep - it was hot - dove under with mask to head out to deeper - in front of me
was a ball of seagrass and seaweed tumbling by - saw chip bag and other trash mixed in and then saw the real green
roll by - grabbed it and looked for more but that was it =could not believe it
Ive found about $300 in cash over the yrs due to wearing my mask - keeping my eyes open and being lucky

It was a while ago that I was there. Some of the beaches are pretty rough and dive weights would be helpful. 7 weeks is outstanding. I was there for 2.

when i was on Orient - didnt find much in the water - think a group of guys were there before me - but as far as
eye candy - must have been off season - bout 80% men and I never saw a woman that was worth a 2nd glance
there should have been guards forcing people to put their clothes back on - but I was there to detect not sight see and Im pretty much blind after 15 feet
I met a few horn dogs in my past - one guy was swinging wildly with his coil bout 6 ins. off the ground - I asked him "are you new at this?" He said, "Nope ...been doing it for years" - I asked "and you find stuff swinging like that?" He said, "oh... my machines been off for the last 15 mins. ...Im just sight seeing" :tongue3:

Orient is a rough beach except for the nude section. Tough to dig in waves that are constantly filling in holes and moving you around. Never tried with goggles but I will this year. Usually I go out for a couple hours at the end of the day. Some of the beach gets raked in the morning so a lot goes away.

I remember Orient Bay very well, a well known magazine was doing a photo shoot at the time and as soon as my girl friend saw what was going on we had to move to a different part of the beach. This was many years ago and I didn't have a metal detector or binoculars at the time.

First day 2 hours hunt in the water.
