ID Help! I found this this evening MDing close to a Confederate camp / pickett, 10" in the ground...What brings up a flag is that on the left side of the stag along the rim it says "trade", on the right side it says "Mark". It has 4 small nail holes along the outside rim, it's about 1 3/4" across and as thin as tin...Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

I thought the samething, after further inspection, I see the word "Trade" on the left side of the elk, and "Mark" on the right side along the rim. Must be 20th century??

There were mini mason (and other) jars that were about 2" wide and 3" tall. Vintage tins were also very small. These are 3 3/4" high including the lid.

Interesting - I do have some similar to that (my grandmothers), but I don't consider them canning lids.
