As anyone else noticed that small stainless is a very faint signal or not a signal at all. Or am I setting the machine up wrong?

I guess a better question is why your looking for stainless....:laughing7:

I don't have that issue. I run full sensitivity and all metal all of the time.

Depends on the size/shape of the object, the depth, etc., and your settings. I find a lot of very thin stainless wire fishing leaders, small stainless hooks, etc., both in PP & Disc modes but I run a pretty high sense setting. But like Hag said, I'd rather not have to dig it at all.

there are different types of stainless, that could effect things!! why worry about small stainless?

chuck.

I guess I'm doing ok because I do find stainless fish hooks and leader.
