My 4 wheel drive has been out so I have not been able to get up into the mountains. It is finally fixed so I can explore properly again!

This incredible 10 stamp mill is the last thing standing at this gold ore processing mill high in the mountains near McAllister, MT. A very rare sight indeed.

Yes sir it would, and hear it too!
And boy what a pile of $$$ in reclaim wood🤑🤑🤘

Any idea what years this was running?
I'm not sure, but by the Fraser A. Chalmers, I'm wondering is this was the start for Allis Chalmers as b4 they started making tractors & such. I'm thinking its somewhere around 1890-1910 era.

Now that's some thinking outside the box👍
Cool thought.

Awesome research ksdirtfisher! I think 1910 +/- is pretty close. This mill was fed by a tram system off the top of the mountain. I hiked the tramline up to the mines. Most everything has fallen down but there is still some identifiable remains of the tram.

in this last pic if you look close through the trees you can see one of tbe tram towers still standing, with cables still running downhill.
