Right next to me I have two books and I have access to all the pages as everyone else. I like to hear real world experience since im fairly new. My opinion is that it is XF+ but I want someone with a better trained eye. I think I made a couple bucks based on what I paid but what would others pay is more important. Thanks

Might even be an AU but it looks to have been cleaned and is a late die state so value would probably be net XF.

Thanks. Thats what I was wondering. Can you tell me what makes you believe its cleaned? I mean normally I would look for small scrathes or areas of discoloration around the stars. Was it the lust or lack there of? Help me out hear brother. Thanks

I also think it has been cleaned. The clue is the all over grainy texture it seems to have. Some people "whizz" their coins with a soft wire brush wheel on a Dremel-like tool if the original luster is gone (always a mistake). With such little wear this coin has it should not be that grainy...Also the grain could have come from being buried in something like a gravel parking lot. The other bad thing is the scarred up rims, that knocks the grade down considerably.

The lack of wear would indicate maybe an AU grade, but how much the cleaned look and the dented up rims detract from the final grade would be up to a professional dealer, I would guess a Fine condition and does not have the "full head" strike detail. I would guess a value of 25 to 50 dollars...my humble opinion anyways!...Let us know if you have it graded...best of luck.

I also agreed cleaned- just doesnt have the same luster/glare/shine of a non cleaned unc coin

You would expect to see some mint luster or toning on a coin that year with as little wear as it has. The grainy fields also give it the appearance of having been dipped.
