started hunting a 1830 homestead, first morning hunt 9-1-07

high all,
have a good friend who's parents own a old farm homestead built in 1830 that is on the tow path of the Erie barge canal in NY, just started hunting it yesterday found a few relics and some clad , a horse bell, and old lock , and some other unknown "parts" I'm am very optimistic that i will find some old coins, only time will tell (which i don't have a great deal of, but i will hunt here whenever i get the chance to spend more than just a couple hours at one time.

I hope you get some great finds at that site. I hit an 1840's site and got a horse bell to. No coins. Hope you find some.
