I've found the same thing. In talking to the tellers at my local bank, I found that the banks are pulling out the very coins I'm trying to collect. One teller said she pulls any halves out that she comes across. Good luck..

Ive been thru 36 dime boxes the last 3 weeks. 3 silver dimes. The last 2 months, ive been thru about 90 half boxes. 0 silver, about 10 buffboys, about 10 infowars.

When u r having such consistently bad luck and long skunk streaks with dime boxes as well as half boxes that does seem kind of suspicious.

THe LCS here pays the tellers $1 ea for 40%, and $3 for 90%. I suppose every dollar counts.

On a side note, my wife, a teller, hasn't seen a silver in months.

Does your LCS low ball everyone with prices like that or just bank tellers? Someone should inform the tellers (well maybe lol) they're getting ripped off. Only 2 x fv for 40% and 6 x fv for 90%? Even with silver prices as low as they are now that's still a huge rip off. I see buyers in my area are currently paying 14 x fv or more for junk silver on CL. They might not be licensed buyers but places like CL and ebay are at least a good indication of what silver is currently selling for.

I understand. The local guy has a brick n mortar shop to run, employees to pay, taxes, rent, etc, and it's expensive. The CL buyer places a free add. The gals aren't going to waste time w/CL, they just want there supplement to $10 an hour.
