my father worked for the city of chicago. these bottles were all dug from under state street in the late 70s early 80s when they closed the street to thru traffic. i just took these out of storage bins and put in this cabinet to look at them. I know the picture doesnt show much but does anything jump out as being valuble. im planning on doing a better job of cataloging when it gets cold

I don't know about value, but that's a nice collection and a cool display.

thank you they have been packed away for 25 years got the cabinet at a garage sale figured i put to use

It is hard to get a good look at what you have as far a value . But I see some old things. Some might date to the late 1890's to about 1910. To get a better idea of what you actually have you would need to get them out and take some pictures that show more detail. BUT you certainly have some very nice bottles in your Dads collection .

All the blob tops great, if any are local even better, same with the milk bottle. Sweet display!!!

figure 10 to 20$ jper bottle without looking at each specifically.

I am not as up to date on the value of the old blob top beer and soda bottles as probably many other bottle collectors are . But if I could sell mine for $20.00 I think I would become a seller instead of a collector. Of course there are a few the I would need to have someone want to pay crazy money before I would sell them .

A few things pop out about this post.
I love glass
You finally unpacked, and displayed them.
Did the same with mine.
Packed away, as my finds.
Now in a cabinet showing off to me.
What does that buy, lots of memories.
Priceless times of digging with the family.
The passion we shared.
What does $$$ do if I sold them.
Nothing, $$$ would be spent, as well as the memories would be lost.
So keep them for a bit, display them, remember your Father and I will say this that no money can replace that.
Congrats 👏

plus they are just cool old things from a bygone era.... how can you beat an aqua cork top "Dr. Kilmer's Swamp Root Cure" bottle.
