Steam valve handle?

Little back history - this was an old sawmill community up until 1925 which was when the mill burned down. The narrow gauge tracks ran a couple of hundred feet from where this was found. So I am going to guess this came off either a steam powered device, or a very old tractor. If this came off of a tractor, it would have had to been before 1948, which was when the current owner bought the property.

Also found nearby were nuts and bolts like are used to splice tracks together.
