Hello, early fall is here folks in the northwest wa st, leaves falling allready , windy , had to wear my down jacket today, burr, hunted for the first time in a soccer field,3 of them, , miles of swinging, not a whole lot of digging but a hole lot of walking and swinging, about 4 hours hunting, 2nd day i discriminate below the nickel and disc the two copper sig's, did exactly what i wanted , no junk and no pennies, going for the nickel and poptop sigs to get the gold and 5centers, and dime+ only, found two pennies but they were buried under the dimes, also they must not make pennies like they did back in the war, this pennie rang up as a dime only one i dug up by itself, and it was a 44 d wheat cent cool, found this in a soccer field, not to far from that i got a good dime reading and it was this nice .925 soccer ball sterling silver necklace, complete, also found 12 quarters, everyone was a different state cool, a few from the early 80's non state, i like this way of hunting, not digging the pennies, missing some things out there but i rather dig one quarter then 25 pennies, and more time to find gold and silver,it is working, later all tg

Hi tg ---

Know what you mean about fall, leaves are dropping off our trees here in Oregon too....and so cold I had to break out my special "treasure-huntin" long underwear :o

I've already noticed that pennies often ring up as dimes on our Ace, we're OK with it at this point, good to know it isn't something I'm looking at sideways......and if you've gotta dig a penny, a wheat is nice to find!

Nice necklace too -- I always wonder how much trouble some kid got into to create a nice find :D

Congrats on a good hunt, and stay warm!!

I like that way of hunting soccer fields, too. I do dig the copper pennies, but the zinc can stay. Great finds, keep em coming!
