I don't get a chance to post much silver, as the properties I work are historically farm land.
This baby spoon was recovered in an area where, at one time, water tubs were setup for cattle, so the spot was typically muddy during those times and had considerable foot traffic from those cows over the years. It is amazing that it was never crushed.


The wording on the back reads "Sterling PAT 1898". No makers mark. Rather ornate and solid, not plated. Weighs 5.11g, and if you look at the cup, there are lines/scrapes in primarily one direction. I assume these are teeth marks from the feeding process.
