Sterling silver belt buckle?

I found this item in a 1920s Era park. It looks to me like an old Web belt buckle, only it's silver. It says "sterling" on the side. It's very thin and light. It also has possible initials on the front with some fancy designs. Can anybody tell me what this is?

you already solved it yourself. it's a sterling belt buckle for a web or thin leather belt, engraved with the owner's initial's. very popular in the 1920's and 30's

Thank you very much. I just wasn't 100 percent sure it was a buckle. I can't find any pictures of one on google.

It's the type of buckle commonly used on canvas belts, like a Cub Scout belt.View attachment 1378420
