I took some chances recently on purchasing "Solid Sterling Silver 925" Jewelry from China. Bad move. Price seemed a little too good to be true.
Interesting thing is that as soon as I got the pieces (I bought about a dozen of them), I tested, and found they were silver plated junk. I immediately contacted seller asking for refund and if they wanted it back they could pay return shipping. 100% of the sellers refunded without even a question, no returns required. I think if anyone were to raise the issue with eBay they could get banned for selling counterfeit right? For me, I don't care that much, they refunded me...
Apparently 10000 sales of fake jewelry with .01% of people actually checking is worth the shipping costs and losses.
Ah well... my nieces and neighbor kids have enjoyed the rings and necklaces.
Buyer beware, check the items when they come in! They sure looked real, and were all stamped properly!
