One I think is a silver barrette and the other maybe a sterling piece that’s engraved Florence, but what is it? The top looks like it has groves to screw something in, but not sure. Buried 8” very close to a 1908 V nickel very close by. Thank you for your opinions.

The bottom of that one piece looks like it would be used in the manner of a wax seal stamp.

Very cool finds. I would guess watch fob related stuff. I'll look around on the interwebs in a bit for stuff like that.

You know I was thinking that I just thought with the engraving and not indented it wouldn’t work write. Did they have just engraved wax seal stamps?

the first piece looks to me like the side shield of an old sterling folding knife. No idea what the secobd piece is, perhaps the bottom half of a woman in a dress figurine ? I think it more likely it is personalized as a seal would be reverse engraved.

Yeah, good point, zombieraccoon. I missed that.
The writing would go the other way if it was a seal. Good one !

Update the first piece is not silver. I’m still trying to figure out what it is. Not sure it’s a wax seal either. I think I see grooves in that top round piece like something screwed in there. But it’s so small that’s hard to imagine too. Driving me nuts.

One I found, has a stone, not a seal

Watch Fob that went on a chain, not the kind that went on a leather strap

Agree. Part of a late 1800's chatelaine folding fruit knife or shoe hook.

Yes, a bit of bling from a fob watch chain in the form of a fob seal.

CRUSADER that is awesome!! You’re right. Thank you so much for the education. My first fob. Thanks again my friend.
