Don't remember if I got back to you or not. But, Yes Steve is yet alive. He had a stroke a few years ago.

I met Steve in St Louis a long time ago. He was the boyfriend of my future mother in law - he looked just like Captain Morgan

and he is still alive, living in California I believe.
