Stewart Beach Nite Hunt 8/15/09

Claudia and I went to Stewart Beach Saturday Nite 8/15/09 for Another Low Tide Nite Hunt. The beach was packed with beach goers, so We didn't get to start till 9pm and finally left at 1am. Claudia and the Ace 250 are doing quite well. Claudia found her first jewelry and $1.04 in coinage. I continue to find the weird and unusual items at the edge of the water. I even found an Extremely Large Oil Filter that I wanted to bring back, but it still had oil in it, so I threw it in the trash barrel. It was approx. 12" long by 6" wide and It probably came from a shrimp or similar boat. The waves seem to be churning up more and more of Hurricane Ike Remnants from the bottom of the sea as the Pictures will show.

Thanks Guy for keep-in the Texas Beaches clean.
About 10 or 12 years ago I decided I was going to hunt Stewart Beach.
Late Sunday afternoon after a big weekend, good low tide coming on, how
could I go wrong. Got the beach about 5:30 and there was still a line of cars
paying to park on the Beach. Didn't think anything of it.
Payed, parked, and started getting my gear on.
"Man there sure were a lot of tall women walking through the lot" heading for the
beach, they should be going the other way, didn't think anymore about it.
Got on the Beach, tuned up, started swinging." Man, these tall women sure
are dressed up for the Beach this time of the afternoon", almost 6:30 by now.
After about 10 minutes of swinging the detector and looking around alternately,
I realised I was, what I later found out was a Transvestite/Crossdressers beach
party.... That was the only time I beach hunted and didn't stop to dig "one more"
on the way to the car.
