Havent posted a new thread in a while so...

Went on a pseudo-cleanout the other day. Was told I could have anything I found in a semi-abandoned house. Luckily I was given unlimited time and the best part was I did not actually have to "clean" out anything besides what I wanted to keep.

Got EXTREMELY lucky and found a small silverware bag in an out of the way drawer. Inside was 6 Stieff Sterling teaspoons and 10 Stieff Sterling salad forks.

Wowee that's an awesome find! Extra exciting because of the details - it being in that little bag and all. Congrats.

Nice, looks like the "forget me not" pattern. Sweet find, that stuff sells at a pretty good premium.

edit-part of text didn't show up? "forget me not"

Very nice find and nice to be able to hunt with permission inside a house like that.

PS I keep seeing your posts and "New Sweden" and wondering where in NJ that is. I found out yesterday (boyfriend and I took a drive down to Bridgeton to look for my great Aunt's grave) passed a sign somewhere during the day saying "New Sweden". We ended up going to the zoo, gawking at all of the old houses, eating at a cool looking diner and finishing up at a cool antique store with cats roaming around. Never did find the cemetary (operator error, I'm an idiot), but really enjoyed the ride and the area. Will be going back again when the weather cools off.

I forgot to put that in my first post about it being for get me not pattern.. I do believe this pattern sells higher as a collectible then as melt value

Now those are the kind of finds that will keep you going!
