unifacial knife, but not exactly unifacial as it has some flaking on the "flat" side. Sweet. :D
Got a pic of the "humpy" side?
 

My guess would be a piece of flint with river tumble on it,you can see the patina change also i find alot like that around here on the river.jmo

Are you saying that the chipping would be the same color as the rest of the rock if it were an artifact? When I first found it I thought just a naturally chipped rock but the guy I was with said knife. I just started doing this last year so I appreciate ALL opinions. I'm here to gain knowledge.
 

i would say a knife,they could just chip one off,cut what they wanted then just throw it down.
