You can tell its summer in Florida because it rains just about every afternoon.
This afternoon was no different. Started raining hard at around 4:00PM, and I figured the beach crowds would leave in a hurry.
I drove over to Manasota beach, paid my $1.00 parking fee, and headed out onto the sand.
I was the only person there, and found a nice tide line where the previous high tide had left a 4 foot wide 'table' with a dip in it for the length of the beach.
I started following that line with my Excalibur II, and in less than an hour found about 20 coins, and a nice ladies watch.
The watch was still ticking - with Central Time Zone time.
I wanted to get into the water, but the waves on this side of Florida have been brutal for the past few days. Too dangerous to get into unless you have a buddy watching you.
Still, finding 20 targets in an hour was nice - even if they didn't include any rings.
