Found a wee button in my mums coin collection, would love to know more about it, have searched the internet and found the name Stokes and Sons which is written on the back of the button, but I can’t find a similar button so I can learn more about it, like what country it belongs to, era, war etc. I’m assuming it’s from a member of the family so I’d like to know this.

I see lots of buttons with the queens crown etc, the one in my photo seems to have a more masculine crown, could this be George’s era instead? Within the crown seems to be a wee heart.

Many thanks - Ky C

Welcome to the forums. I haven't done any searching yet but I thought I might post a clearer picture of your button to help with its identification. I hope you don't mind.

That's a very cool button and in great shape.
Sorry I'm no help in the ID though.

Maybe the Tonga royal palace uniform button. Here is one purported to be that but it doesn't have the wreath. Maybe yours is a variety.

Thanks guys. It may well be Tonga. I know my Grandfather spent sometime in the South Pacific during the war. However when I looked I couldn’t find anything relating to it, so thanks for that ID. :)
