I was out at an old 1880 school house today, and discovered that I was getting hits from an inch under the ground. When I started digging, I hit the old rock pathway that was leading to the front of the school. I had the same thing happen the whole way up the path. I've heard of hot rocks, but I can't imagine that would have been the case here. Anybody else ever have this happen?

Only on modern walks where they've got steel mesh or rebar in the concrete. Strange on a stone walk...

those rocks might have metal or mineral ore in em (minerals and ores can read as metals at times if heavy enough --just adjust sen levels down a bit or re ground balance for the area)--

modern paving stones might have a screen mesh core * -- cement often has steel / iron reinfocing bars aka as "rebar" in em-- most likely the stone used to make the "walkway" is loaded with some type of mineral or metal ore in it.
