Stones, and gold maybe?

Any ideas on what this is and what it made of? I found it in the river, around 3 feet deep, normally this section would be over 5 foot, no clue how it would end up in the middle of the Ottawa river.

I believe it of East Indian decent as shown in the images. Earring
