Stormtrooper's March 1st Hunt = Silver

Well, I was able to get out for about 1 1/2 hours today and went to a park that has been around since 1941. I chose this park because it is smaller and tucked away in a neighborhood. Not a main park hit by all the Portland detectors. I parked my truck, got all set up and started swinging. The first target I got was the 1957-D Dime (2nd silver coin) ;D ;D ;D...I knew I was in the right place. However, because of the majority of the park was just mud, and I was sinking in, I only got to swing over about 1/100 of it. I will be back to that little honey spot when it drys up a little.

In the time I was there I got....

22 Pennies (1961 oldest)
8 Dimes (1957 oldest)
6 Nickels (1964 oldest)
2 Quarters (2000 oldest :-\ :-\ ::) ::) ;D ;D)

I also found this Mazuma play money 25cent coin. It has US. Grant on it and the date 1822-1885, I do believe that is his date of birth-death. I do not know anything about these Mazuma coins, so someone let me know what era this coin is from.

Yeah that's a nice silver one there. Good finds and hopefully it will dry up a little for you soon.

Good job. Ya'll must have had a break in the rain today. It rained on my side of the river all day so I stayed in.

Just take a white piece of paper, fold it in half, and set it against the wall/counter top. Then snap your pictures using Macro mode with the camera sitting on the counter top. Go into your edit software that came with the camera and crop out your target. Once that is done, resize the picture to 800x600 and you are done....Nice clean and clear pictures for all to enjoy ;D

I was able to dodge the rain for about 90 minutes....Enough to find my first silver for the month ;D

Oh yeah! Nice finds dude!

Yeah, last month I found two MAZUMA dimes in the same yard. JOHN PAUL JONES 1747 to 1792. I found one on Feb 3rd, and the other on Feb. 10.
