Strange Birds ??

Hi, From the same field I have found a number of these strange little birds . They appear to be cast in copper as there is green corrosion on them. The only thing I could think of was a fishing weight ? as you would tie the line around the neck. ??

That's why you find them in the ground. Them slag birds are to heavy to fly.

Weight ? not sure but the big one measures 1 & 1/8" tall x 1/2" wide x 1/8" thick . Tha small one is about 3/4" tall x 1/2" wide x 1/8" thick

I think you have a foundry nearby or the site of a foundry dump. Looks like metal spill. Go look on a foundry pouring deck and you will see many of the same shape and texture.
