Found this disc at the beach last week. Initially, I thought it was a big coin but doesn't appear to be.

It is magnectic and heavy. It is the size of the Kennedy dollar coin. The blueish material is some kind of fiber covering the metal (both sides).

Any ideas?

Here are a few pics. (The penny size coin was put for comparison. It is a 2-cent Euro which was found at the same beach).

HH!

I'm pretty sure it is a weight sewn into the corners of beach blankets to keep them from blowing away.

I found one back in May. It's in the upper right hand corner of the pic

I found one on the beach in NJ earlier this year. I thought it was a something to do with a beach chair.
