Strange fastener i found

Does anyone have any clue as to how this is used? I know its a fastener of some sort and i have seen some that came from civil war areas but i have no clue as to how its used or what its called...its the one on the bottom

I'v Found Alot of those, around here.

? I was "Told" the Top Right ( 1 ) Is an Old SPARK PLUG Ring.

? The Top Left one ( 2 ), I personally "Think" would have been Connected to A TARP, Tent or other Cloth (or Plastic) Item that needed to Be Tied down with String (or ROPE).

The Bottom one? YOU are Curious about, I am Now Hopeing Someone Here Knows, But I'm Leaning towards Part of an AUTO.

Thanks for the info! I knew one was from a tarp but i thought the other was a backpack ring, but i think its what you said because there is some things on the inside for it to attach to something.
