So i just picked up these halfs and i am finding multiple nifc's i opened up one roll and it has a piece of 2004 wrapper from the us mint. i have also found some half that are from 1971 that dont look like they ever seen the light of day. what should i do i have only opened up 4 rolls so far?
should i keep a couple of each year and put the rest in the wild?

I would keep a few of each year and mint mark in case you want to start a set of Kennedy halves.
Finding older clad ones in Unc. grade is rare. I think having a complete set of Kennedy Halves is a
nice thing to have.
Just my opinion.

I would keep 2 of each year and mintmark. of course, 2 of the BEST grades after closely examining them. Don't put your fingerprints on the coin, hold it by the edged side.

HH and happy holidays

Is this strange to anyone else? I have two boxes so far that look to be about 80% NIFC's after opening just 4 rolls i had almost all the nifc's of every year and mint.

probably the dump of a collector or coin store that had ordered bags of the NIFC from the mint, picked out the choice ones to sell and dumped the rest into circulation.

Occassionally I find boxes like that where 80% or more appear to be unc coins of various years.

I would save a few of each year but don't tie up much of your coin with it.

I would try them on Ebay and see what happens...

funny story, I opened a box of half dollars last night(skunk of course), and it contained several fat and shiny copper edges that fooled me for proofs. of the 25 or so coins that were really fat and shiny edges, they were 1971-d and 1972, looked like they have never seen the light of day.
