Strange item found

I had a chance for a 15 minute hunt today, so I hit a local area that gets used for odd stuff. I am finding a lot of dimes, I think a seeded hunt was conducted there recently, since I have found 15 dimes on the surface within an hour.

Anyway, I found this item along with the usual other stuff, I have no idea what it is. Almost 2" long and about 1/2" wide or so.

Any ideas?

It may be a promotional piece from Inkville Tattoo located in Klamath Falls, Oregon. That's not too far from Washington State.

I think I do see Inkville on it, I cannot read the other words well.

Casper, it is a bit small for a bottle opener, but I am at a loss as to what it is for.

If promotional, I would think that the lettering would be more easily readable.

Just another doodad to put with the rest of my finds, I guess.

Maybe an ear ring? It is shaped like a leaf and the small size would make that a possibility.

As usual DCM is all over it. It is an oak leaf, a promotional piece from the "Autumn" festival... however, I can not find anything to confirm this...

Very interesting piece.... It's aluminum, right?

It is tiny! So is it a Christmas tree decoration or a pipe tool or a ... The hook on the end is there for a reason.

Looks like pewter and not much patina on it. Was it a surface find?

OK. I must admit my very first thought on attempting to read the words was "AUTUMN WAR". But I thought, what could THAT mean?

Well, there is an organization in the Pacific northwest called An Tir and they sponsor an event they call "Autumn War". This could be a memento or medallion from an event.

Autumn OAK is a good guess but I don't know if that first letter looks much like an "O".
The first letter also looks like a "W" to me. Autumn War is an interesting suggestion.
The second letter looks like an "A" until you compare it to the "A" in Autumn. Could be a bad strike or trick of the lighting.

The roman numerals equal 39 although its not the most conventional way of doing it. Is that the "39th" of something or "1939"? Its seems like if it were 1939 the roman numerals for the complete date would have been used...

An-Tir is a kingdom in the Society for Creative Anachronism. Autumn War 39 was held in 2004 at a campground in Orting, Wa. I won't reveal the exact location, but the info is out there if you dig deep enough.

That's likely to be the site token indicating the bearer paid the entrance fee. Neat find.

Most likely made of lead-free solder or wheel weights. SCA folks use that a lot for site tokens. They're usually strung on a ribbon for hanging around the neck or tied off on their costume somewhere.
