Agree. That pattern is called the "Perforated Lance Tooth". But I can't imagine why someone would slice off a piece of one so nicely. Maybe testing a new hydraulic cutter?

its the end off a 1 man saw snapped off at the u cut
if it was from a 2 man saw it would have provisions for a handle on the end
