Strange readings or am I just going crazy.

At the park this morning my DFX kept giving me very unusual readings. I was finding cents with readings of 42-48 and pull tabs at 78-79. I don't know if it was because I was using new headphones, ground mineralization, wet ground or ??

I dug more than 10 of the older pull tabs at 4-6 inches and all indicated by sign and tone that they were cents.

Has anyone else experienced this type of problem?

Sounds like you were wearing the wrong color socks on that day. You might have been in an area that day were someone was using that frequency. Check the battery connections, sometimes a change in voltage will do this. If it does this at another location you may have a problem and need to send it back. But, before you do, reset the detector to the default settings.

Thanks Sandman. I figure it was either the socks or I wasn't holding my mouth right. Got some new headphones after I left that park and the machine seemed ok the rest of the day. I am going back to that park this morning to try again.
