Strange worked stone I found in a country stream

I found this stone in a stream yesterday where I was hiking. Its definitely worked with two polished sides. I don't know if it's native or if it's masonary. It's definitely a head scratcher for where it was found it's miles away from any kind of town or house. Thank you for your help - justin

Probably was cut on a modern diamond saw. People leave stuff in the oddest places.

I don't know what it really is, but I do know that it is a keeper! Very pretty display specimen!

Most likely a piece of a granite or marble cut-stone obelisk post, used as a survey marker or tombstone, that somehow ended up in the stream, during a flood event, perhaps.

Thats neat for sure, I agree with Kray, does make me wonder why the natives never used a block shaped object, must not of bin a need for it or did they use blocks.:dontknow:
