I found this earlier this year in a creek.
I really liked the coloration and the fact that it resembles the shape of the African continent (IMO).
I put it through 3 stages of my rock tumbler. I don’t want to risk it breaking or losing shape, so it’s “done” as far as I’m concerned.

That is a good looking rock. Not particularly colorful, but the patterns make it an excellent candidate for grinding and polishing.

Any banded chert is good material to work with, even with the extremely muted earth tones.

Time for more coffee.
