Returned on my own for just over 2.5 hours to the Wheat Stubble Field I nearly completed a couple of months ago. There is just a small area I want to finish off before its ploughed again. Windy but pleasant morning before the forecast rain.
1 Scrappy Roman Coin
1 poor 18th C pewter Military Button
1 Rose farthing (1620s)
Spectacle Buckle
Star find was a Celtic (Iron Age) Woad Grinder circa 50BC, anything from this period makes it a good short hunt. It my first Iron Age Artefact this year & we don't get many. Bent but complete
