That's a really nice button. My first Tombac Button came out clean as a whistle too. It's amazing how well they hold up.
 

I believe it may be a silver plated tombac but feel free to correct me! Found in a site that dates back to the 1700-1800s. No markings as far as I can tell. Thanks for looking!

That is very unusual! A Sheffield Plated Tombac Button is something I've not seen. I've had some that looked silver washed but not as heavily plated as yours! Very cool.

Very nice button indeed, the soils were kind.

Query Cru: How do you know it was a Sheffield plated?

Most likely during this period, assuming its a UK made Button.
