Well went detecting this morning at a high school just found clad coins no silver or gold did find clad dimes and quarters. One of these days ill find my first silver coin

It will come in time.
Just be patient and swing sloow.

Remember all this land was here before we were and there is no telling what was lost or hid by the people before us. So just keep trying to hunt places where the lazy hunters won't go near. Lots of them bushes weren't there years before.

Well today i went to a soccer field amd located clad coins and hunreds of pull tabs and dug several bottle caps that were 7to 8 in deep. I was getting tried and got a reading of s-cap about 3in deep and i thought another cap so i remember what sandman told me dig it up, so i dug it and this what i found. Does anyone know what kind stone it is

From the pic, the stone looks like opal or pearl. What is the inscription on the backside, it's kinda hard to make out? U could also Google that mark for answers as well

Cool find tho! Congrats

Jay

I am inclined to say that the "ster" is an indication of sterling silver, so there you go! Congrats (hopefully) on your first silver!
