I went back to the old school site for 3.5 hours today. I decided to concentrate on the area along the sides and rear of the 'playground' area. I'd hit this area pretty extensively with my Ace 350 last year and found little more than bottle caps and scrap metal shards! I decided to take 'Breezies' advice and detect walking backwards today! Detecting this way forces me to slow down and listen for all the deep signals!

My first silver find was a nice surprise; it was a 1918 Merc, which was quickly followed by a 1955 Canadian Dime. I then got a signal reading between 76 - 83 at 2" and thought, "ok another bottle cap" . . . when what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer! No that's not right . . . it was a 1903 Canadian Silver Nickel!

I managed to find one more silver, a 1964 Cdn Silver Dime at 6" deep, thankfully the soil here is gentle on silvers and coppers, as the 1946 Cdn Cent looks pretty good for being 66 years old!

Thanks for looking and hope you all have a good week,
Dave
