Sundays Finds Another Silver for the Fisher F75SE ... (4) Silvers in a Week :)

Went out this morning and again this afternoon in the Oregon mud... Found (3) silver coins and a Sterling Silver band in the last week... plus all of the misc...

What mint is it? How about a pic of the reverse?

It has an S mint mark. I have found 4 war nickels in the last few months...

In your nickel's war year of 1945, I recall at the age of 3 years old the day when the war ended because our family joined others crowding into their old Fords & Chevies to drive from the countryside into Richmond, VA with thousands of adults shouting and blaring their horns. All we 3-year old kids really felt was the intense joy and excitement of our parents, & then for a week or so afterwards, all us kids tied tin cans to our tricycles & bikes to enjoy hearing the cans victory clatter on the rough sidewalks. For our parents, it meant their brothers would finally return from the war, one having escaped after being captured but not yet home. Maybe someday humans will evolve so there's no more killing.
