Sunday's Matching Patina's

Well I change my coil over to the 5x10DD and went back to a field that has not produced much for me where once a homestead had been. No sooner I entered the filed I got this nice green padlock, no manufacturer name on it but it's Pat'd 1891. Short on time and still waiting for the farmer to till it up before planting his corn, I ended up with another greeny, a 1890 Indian Head Cent.

Also got this little broken piece of copper plate with a symbol and two letters on it. Looks like "VF" under a crown or something.

Thanks for looking!
... first time using this new system with pics, the one pic of a coin sticking out of the dirt with my stock coil next to it is from a earlier post ~ that's a 1797 Cartwheel Penny! :icon_thumleft:

It's VR - Victoria Regina Lock plate cover to a padlock. (1837-1902)

Nice lock.
I found an identical one in Michigan a few years ago.

congrats on the cool lock and IH.

I found a brass lock with the 5900 di pro once. It rang up 50 cents, I was thinking yes...
