Well an absolute blinder of a day in terms of weather… I can feel the burn now!

Back to our usual fields, still searching for the Roman Villa! But we got some nice finds and as ever just being out watching the Red Kites and hares is special enough.

Nice spindle whorl to start you off… the a crusty livery button, half a crotal bell, couple of bits of buckle, little buckle, lid and possible strap end, then the end of a whip, has wood inside but to small for awalking cane, big lead palm gaurd, buttons, and of course, my beautiful shilling, 1922!

Going to try a newly disked cover crop area in the infamous Dirk field tomorrow…. Rude not to I think! 😆 xx
