OMG, persistence pays off...finally, after look for silver coins all these 3 years, what is the first valuable thing I find? Gold, and twice in one day! A SUPER DUPER SUPER BOWL SUNDAY BONUS! I found 1- 10K mans ring that says DAD and 1 - 18k ring. I also found 18 coins including 1 quarter, 3 dimes, 1 nickel and 13 pennies including a 1951 Wheatie. Oh, and all this action in my own front yard. WOW!

I don't know about that 18k ring, may need a gold tester for that one...

Nice GOLD ring finds! :occasion14:

Nice! And you don't have to worry about asking permission, or splitting the take!

Nice gold rings but I think one is mine ,I'm dad.

Nice job on the rings. Set alarm, go to bed, wake up, walk out back door & detect ! Nice set up.

UPDATE: Well, the 18k ring was plated, so I couldn't sell it. BUT, the 10K was real and I sold it for about 60.00. So all in all a profitable front yard find!

Congrats! So in 3 years you never detected you own yard? That's crazy, that was the first place I worked hard on.....:occasion14:

Nice job on your finds

Congrats! :occasion16::wav::occasion16: Took me about as long to dig my first gold rings. First one on a beach that is loaded with so much old iron that the custom-made 14 K nugget ring was covered with a thin layer of iron, which popped off easily to reveal the lovely gold. The second was an 18 K hollow gold ring dug in old road cut full of nails & other junk. But dug them about a year apart, not the same day like you did, lol. Enjoyed having them for a while, then sold both to Midwest Refiners, one of the good buyers advertised on this website. I hope you continue to have fun and dig more gold this year! :icon_thumright: Andi

You sold your first gold? :( I mean, I'll sell some gold here and there, too. But your first? :( haha

Great finds!!
